Finca El Socorro stands as one of Guatemala’s most awarded and respected farms, managed by Diego de la Cerda and his family. The farm’s legacy dates back to the early 1900s, but its modern recognition began with Diego’s relentless focus on precision, innovation, and cup quality.
Their commitment has earned them several Cup of Excellence awards, including 1st place in 2007 and 2nd place in 2011 - achievements that positioned El Socorro among the most consistent high-performing farms in Central America.
Situated in Palencia, near Guatemala City, the farm lies between 1,600 and 1,800 masl, surrounded by volcanic soils and a cool, stable microclimate ideal for slow cherry maturation. This washed Geisha is a remarkable expression of those terroir conditions.
After handpicking, the cherries undergo a traditional washed process: depulped on the same day, followed by a controlled fermentation of 24 hours, then carefully washed and dried on raised beds under shade.
In the cup, this translates into a clean and structured profile, with white jasmine florals, a honey-like sweetness, and a refined, citric brightness that lingers elegantly. It’s a coffee that perfectly embodies both the discipline and beauty of Guatemalan craftsmanship.

We process orders within 2–4 business days, depending on workload. On the first business day after the weekend, we process all orders received on holidays. Delivery in Romania is then made in approximately 24–48 hours, depending on the courier and location.
Our coffee comes from sustainable farms, carefully selected from various producing regions. We visit at least two different origins each year, where we get to know the farmers personally and see first-hand the processing methods. This way, we ensure that each batch meets our quality and traceability standards.
For hygiene and food safety reasons, we cannot accept returns for coffee packages.
Specialty coffee is a natural product. The flavor may vary slightly depending on the harvest, growing conditions, and roast profile chosen for that batch, but we promise to always maintain our standards of quality and freshness.
