La Colina is located in the hills of Chimaltenango, just outside San Martin Jilotepeque, at approximately 1,700 metres above sea level. The farm’s name translates as “the hill”, a reference to the high-elevation landscape where the Medina family’s land is located.
Antonio “Tony” Medina began growing coffee here in 1991. The land came from his father’s property and was initially used to grow staple crops such as corn and beans. Inspired by Guatemala’s coffee tradition and the potential of the area, Tony gradually transitioned the land towards coffee, focusing increasingly on quality.
Over the years, La Colina continued to evolve, and Tony began working with more distinctive and demanding varieties. In the early 2010s he planted a small Geisha lot, a variety celebrated for its expressive aromatic character but also known for the care it requires in the field.
Grown at 1,700 metres and processed using the washed method, this Geisha offers a refined and clearly defined cup. We find floral and fruit-driven notes of elderflower, mandarin and apricot, followed by a soft caramel-like sweetness.
The result is an elegant, aromatic and clean coffee, combining the floral character of Geisha with the sweetness and structure associated with this part of Guatemala.

Our coffee comes from sustainable farms, carefully selected from various producing regions. We visit at least two different origins each year, where we get to know the farmers personally and see first-hand the processing methods. This way, we ensure that each batch meets our quality and traceability standards.
For hygiene and food safety reasons, we cannot accept returns for coffee packages.
Specialty coffee is a natural product. The flavor may vary slightly depending on the harvest, growing conditions, and roast profile chosen for that batch, but we promise to always maintain our standards of quality and freshness.
