The Mierisch family has been growing coffee in Nicaragua for over 100 years, in the high mountain regions of Matagalpa and Jinotega. Across four generations, coffee has remained at the heart of the family’s work, from Bruno Mierisch farming alongside his son Wilfrido in the early 1900s, to the present day, where sons, daughters and grandchildren continue this legacy.
Finca Mama Mina is located at high elevation, in an area defined by heavy annual rainfall and persistent cloud cover throughout the day. These conditions reduce direct sunlight and make coffee production particularly challenging. Over the years, the Mierisch family has experimented with different varieties and planting strategies to find the best match for this demanding environment.
After working with Catuai, Java and Pacamara, the Red Pacamara variety proved to be especially well suited to the conditions at Mama Mina. Careful farm management and deep knowledge of the land allow the farm to consistently produce coffees of outstanding quality, with expressive and refined profiles.
This lot is a washed Red Pacamara, roasted specifically for espresso. In the cup, it delivers a balanced structure with subtle notes of florals, caramel, brown sugar and dark chocolate, resulting in a clean, sweet and satisfying espresso.

We process orders within 2–4 business days, depending on workload. On the first business day after the weekend, we process all orders received on holidays. Delivery in Romania is then made in approximately 24–48 hours, depending on the courier and location.
Our coffee comes from sustainable farms, carefully selected from various producing regions. We visit at least two different origins each year, where we get to know the farmers personally and see first-hand the processing methods. This way, we ensure that each batch meets our quality and traceability standards.
For hygiene and food safety reasons, we cannot accept returns for coffee packages.
Specialty coffee is a natural product. The flavor may vary slightly depending on the harvest, growing conditions, and roast profile chosen for that batch, but we promise to always maintain our standards of quality and freshness.
