The Karambi washing station was established in 2016 and is operated by no more than four full-time people and another 60 during the harvest period, of which 54 are women. All farms that bring coffee cherries to the Karambi station are located within a maximum distance of 3km from the station and have an average area of 4ha. When tasting, it presents a medium-high sweetness and moderate acidity, making it a good alternative for the daily routine.
